Leadership
Behind every engineering decision, every client engagement, and every line of code we ship is a small group of people who care deeply about the standard of work that goes out under our name. These are the founders, executives, and advisors who set that standard — and hold the rest of us to it.

Operations, partnerships, and the bridge between strategy and delivery.
Kamal co-founded TrueLeaf Tech's engineering studio with a clear conviction: that great software companies are built as much through the discipline of operations as through the brilliance of engineering. He formally joined as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer in July 2022, following more than a decade leading operations at Amazon MENA and Souq.com. As Chief Operating Officer, he owns the commercial relationships, financial structure, and the operational backbone that let our engineering teams focus on what they do best.
His remit spans every meaningful client partnership the company holds — from enterprise engagements with retailers and manufacturers in India to ongoing relationships with US and UAE founders building new products. He's the person ensuring that work scales sustainably, that engagements are structured for long-term mutual success rather than short-term wins, and that the studio behaves like a partner rather than a vendor.
Kamal brings to the role over a decade of leading operations at the scale most studios only ever read about. At Amazon, as Regional Head of Content Operations for MENA, he led the migration of more than 12 million Souq.com items to launch Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa, and Amazon.eg — running a 165-person operation across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan, and consistently delivering against targets that defined the region's e-commerce trajectory. Before Amazon, he spent five years at Souq.com building the foundational content operation that made that acquisition possible. It's that same operational instinct — earned at scale, sharpened across borders — that he brings to every TrueLeaf Tech engagement today.
Marketing leader operating at the intersection of digital, AI, and applied analytics.
Manusree leads marketing at TrueLeaf Tech with a background that sits unusually at the intersection of digital marketing, generative AI, and applied analytics. As Digital Marketing Consultant at Infosys in Dubai from 2022 to 2024, she pioneered the integration of generative AI applications for clients in consumer technology and education — designing retrieval-augmented generation pipelines on open-source LLMs like Llama 3, leading prompt engineering programmes for large-scale marketing campaigns, and delivering measurable lifts: 40% in content production efficiency, 25% reduction in customer acquisition cost, 20% improvement in retention.
Her path to that AI-forward marketing practice ran through some of India's most analytically rigorous environments. At Amazon Business India she spent four years as a Senior Digital Analyst, owning multi-channel campaigns and the customer behaviour analytics that drove an 18% conversion rate improvement and 22% traffic growth. Before that, marketing roles at Snapdeal and IndiaMART gave her a ground-level view of how India's e-commerce and B2B marketplace giants actually win and lose category-level battles.
At TrueLeaf Tech, Manusree owns brand positioning, demand generation, and the marketing technology stack powering our growth across MENA, India, and the US. She holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Kalyani — graduated as Gold Medalist — and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature. The linguistics background quietly informs her unusually disciplined approach to messaging and audience targeting.
Strategic advisor
Building a studio is a long game. The people we lean on for strategic counsel — those who've seen what works and what doesn't from outside the day-to-day — shape our thinking in ways that compound over years.
The voice in the room that's already seen this movie.
Matt brings to TrueLeaf Tech the kind of senior engineering perspective that's hard to access without a long-running relationship. He spent over nine years at Meta as a Staff Android Software Engineer, leading multiple engineering teams building client-side mobile and web products across Facebook, Ads Manager, and Messenger — most recently leading 0-to-1 initiatives in Facebook and the Messaging Platform integrations across the Facebook and Messenger Android apps.
Before Meta, he led front-end engineering at Jut, Inc. — the San Francisco big-data analytics startup that invented its own stream-processing programming language — and spent four years as Lead Software Engineer at Amazon Music, where he co-prototyped the work that became Amazon's first Cloud Music Player and went on to lead the launch of three major products in Amazon's music division, including the Amazon Cloud Player for Desktop and the Amazon Music Importer.
Today he's Senior Staff Engineer at Credit Acceptance and founder of Danville Labs. His advisory role at TrueLeaf is exactly what you'd want from someone with that pedigree: outside enough to see clearly, technical enough to be useful at depth, and senior enough that the questions he asks are usually the ones we should have been asking ourselves. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Business Administration from Principia College.
Beyond leadership
Leadership sets the bar, but it's the engineers, designers, and operators across our offices in Dubai, Seattle, and West Bengal who ship the work every day. They're the reason our partners stay with us for years rather than projects.
